Abstract:
This paper presents the design of an electronic control system that was fabricated as a modification to an existing control console for Model A711 neutron generator’s rabbit system. The modification exercise involved the provision of three additional capabilities to the control system. They are; provision for a visual display system that should ascertain the arrival of samples into and out of the neutron generator’s irradiation site and for pre-setting the duration of samples in the irradiation site. The other provision is for automatic retrieval of samples from the irradiation site at the end of the pre-set time. The control card has been fabricated and installed on the existing control console of the neutron generator’s rabbit system.
