Abstract:
A survey of malarial parasite was carried out in five localities around Abbottabad during August - December, 1991. Giemsa stained thick and thin blood smears of 760 persons were examined. All the smears were negative for malarial parasite. Our study indicates that the locality of Abbottabad and its suburds have very little or no incidence of malaria parasite injection during the months of August to December.
