Abstract:

A new species of Walker's leucaspis group of the tree hopper's genus Leptocentrus Stal is described with special reference to lateral lobes of frontoclypeus in relation to median lobe and genitalia. The new taxon is compared with its most closely related ally in the above group and in the light of the above characters its cladistic relationship within its genus is also briefly discussed.
