Abstract:
An almost complete series of the fairly preserved upper and lower teeth except two premolars and two incisors, of the same individual (Hipparion antilopinum) were collected from the Dhok Pathan Formation, Middle Siwaliks. As the complete series of upper and lower teeth of the same individual of H. antilopinum is hitherto unknown from the Siwaliks, they are described here for the first time. This paper also provides the additional information about the palaeozoogeography of the hipparions in the Siwalik continental desposits.
