A taxonomic study of some freshwater algae from Attock and Sargodha Districts.

Abstract:
The following 39 species of Algae were recorded from the Districts of Attock and Sargodha: Cyanophyta: Aphanocapsa pulchra; Merismopedia punctata, Lyngbya hieronymusii; Oscillatoria limosa. Chlorophyta: Scenedesmus incrassalatus. S. arcuatus, S. bljuga, S. bijugatus, S. obliquus, S. apoliensis, S. armatus, S. hystrix, S. quadricauda var, disper, S. quadricauda var. longispina; Sphaeroplea annulina; Aphanochaete repens; Closterium cynthia, C. leibleinii; Pleurotaenium chrenbergii; Cosmarium angulare, C. impressulum; Spirogyra nytigama, S. papulata, S. paludosa; Zygnema insigne, Oedogonium rufescens Chrysophyta: Vaucheria debaryana;Cyclotella operculata; Synedra affinis, S. ulaa; Cocconeis pediculus; Achnanthes hugarica; Gyrosigma accuminatum; Anomoeoneis sphaerophora; Navicula viridula, N. radiosa; Gomphonema ghosea; Nitzschia vermicularis; Bacillaria sp.
