Abstract:
Makran region has been remained an area of interest for local and foreign geoscientists for many reasons. Gas-hydrates are a naturally formed marine resource of Methane gas and also used as a source of combustible energy. Makran offshore known for the occurrence of gas-hydrates, however, their volume and geometries are not yet clearly developed. This study comprehends recent research developments on gas-hydrates in Makran and serve its academic role to understand the existence of gas-hydrates in Makran region and its exploitation from virgin offshore areas of Makran (Pakistan and Iran) with modern technologies and drilling methods.
