Abstract:
BODYTEXT = The extracts derived from the flowers of common bedding plant, Ageratum houstonianum (Mill) have shown ovicidal, antifeedant, and repellent properties against different insect species. Acetone extracts showed toxic action against larvae and pupae of Aedes aeqypti (L) at 10 ppm concentration. Acetone extracts were more effective than ethyl acetate extracts. The extracts from leaves and shoots were less effective. The repellent value of this plant is comparable to neem plant.
