Abstract:
Von Braun cyanogen bromide reaction on two antiallergic drugs, promethazine (10-(2-dimethyl amine) Isoprophly) phenothiazine) and Mebhydroline (1-benzyl, 5 methyl, 3, 4, 5, 6-tetrahydro7I-carboline) is described which has led to their cyano and some unusual derivatives.
