Abstract:
A centrifuge tube often breaks during operation due to faulty placement in the centrifuge tube holder. The simple precaution of correctly placing the tube prior to operation, so that the wall of the centrifuge tube rests against the wall of the holder which is nearest to the central axis of the centrifuge, prevents breakage.
