Abstract:
An attempt has been made to determine the colours of the outside walls of houses which can reflect or disperse maximum among of heat producing rays (infra red, red or yellow) of the solar spectrum so as to create a cooling effect within the rooms. Reflectivity of but side wall surfaces, coated with red, yellow, green, blue, grey, calcium oxide end gum, at angles of incidence 10 to 80, were, there, fore, determined. Results are gives in tabular form in terms of percentage of reflection at various wave lengths.
