Abstract:
In this study, the numerical solution of widely used vibration equation with verylarge membrane is considered. A collocation method with Haar wavelet (HW) isapplied for this purpose. The algorithm based on the proposed method is verysimple and easy to implement. Highly accurate approximate solutions areobtained with a reasonable number of collocation points. The method is testedupon several different exacts solutions of the vibration equation includingpolynomials and infinite series solutions. The numerical results confirm theaccuracy, efficiency and robustness of the proposed method.
