Abstract:
Transition metal complexes of Co (II), Cu (II), Ni (II) and Zn (II) with the leaves extract naturally occurring herbal plant species zizyphus spinachristi of family Rhamnaceae have been prepared and screened for their antibacterial activity against bacterial species Escherichia coli, Proteus vulgaris, Staphylococcus-aureus, Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Bacillus subtilis. The antibacterial results of these studies have shown an impressive increase of antimicrobial activity observed by /he metal complexes in comparison to the simple leaves extract.
