Abstract:

Study has been made of Rana cyanophlytis and Bufo melanostictus. AVT is considered a precursor molecule for all the known basic petides. The given data is convincing for the presence of AVP which is thought to have evolved directly from AVT and much earlier in the evolutionary hierarchy of molecules than is usually considered.
