Abstract:
A brief account of tsunami disaster of South Asia that occurred on December 26, 2004 in the western coast of Sumatra in the Indian Ocean is provided is this article. A brief description of tsunamis generated & caused by earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, asteroids, meteorites, man-made explosions is given. The paper also deals with tsunami genesis and history of tsunamis in Pakistan/Arabian Sea.
