The change in micro structure and mechanical properties along the length of hot rolled coil.

Abstract:
The change in micro-structure and the mechanical properties along the length of hot rolled coils of steel, grade 1008 were analysed. It was found that while the tensile strength drops and grain size increases from ends to the middle of the strip, the effect upon cold bending properties is not evident.
