Abstract:

Single crystal polarized electronic spectra of bis-alaninato copper(II) were recorded at six different temperatures between room temperature and 10K. These were compared with circular dichroism and electronic spectra, obtained from powder and solutions. An explanation of the results in postulated in term of bonding in the complex.
