Abstract:
Studies were conducted on Kunda soil series to calibrate the yield response of wheat to soil phosphorus and to find out the critical levels of soil and plant phosphorus for wheat. Critical level of 10 ppm Oslen P was estimated for the soil tested. The critical P concentration in 7 weeks old plants was found to be 0.12 per cent Oslen P gave correlation of r= 0.89+ with Bray's per cent yield. Correlation between P content of plants and Bray'sper cent yield was also positive (r=0.839+). Optimum level of P for wheat crop was found to be 80 Kg P2 05/ha.
