A new dipterous larvae from a hospital patient in Pakistan.

Abstract:
A case of myiasis is reported from Karachi, the larvae were passed in stool by a patient visiting a local hospital. These larvae constitute a new species of Sarcophaga maggots for which the name Sarcophaga Karachiensis sp. n. is proposed. These larvae are characterized by possessing very small peritremes, minute anterior spiracle (respiratory spiracle), very small posterior spiracles and with well developed cephaloskeleton.
