Abstract:
A ten year old bay stallion was presented with a history of scrotal swelling along with posthitis and difficult micturation (Stanguria). Palpation of the external genitalia revealed variable consistency of various areas of the affected organs. The animal was cast and examined for scrotal herniation but no evidence for it was found. The surgical exploration of the lesions revealed septic orchitis. After surgery stallion was treated with systemic antibiotic and anti-inflammatory drugs and the animal recovered completely within two weeks.
