Abstract:
Recent surveys indicate that there are11,00, 000 cases of tuberculosis patients in East Pakistan; out of this at least 3,00,000 patients are excreting tubercule bacilli. Number of hospital beds that are available for the tuberculosis patients is less than 500. Two more hospitals in the province are proposed, but the situation would not materially change. It is proposed that the treatment of TB cases must therefore be carried out at home. Suggestions are made for a cooperative scheme.
