Abstract:
Copper oxide nanoparticles (CuO-NPs) stand out among the nanoparticles as having the most potential due to their significant oxidation state diversity, crystal morphologies, affordability, magnetic properties, and ecologically benign make-up. The distinctive properties of CuO-NPs, such as their high inherent reactivity and broad utilization in catalytic activities, provide potential applications in the realm of medicine. This work presents the green synthesis of CuO-NPs using aqueous extract of Fagonia cretica. Fagonia cretica contains alkaloids, tannins, saponins, and terpenoids that acted as a reducing and capping agent for the synthesis of CuO-NPs. The synthesized nanoparticles were characterized by UV-Vis spectroscopy, Fourier Transmission Infrared Spectroscopy (FT-IR), Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), Energy Dispersive XRay Analyses (EDX) and X-Ray Diffraction (XRD). The synthesized nanoparticles were used for Anti-Glycation activity which showed rapid and good results.
