Abstract:
Alopecia, or hair loss, is categorized as male pattern alopecia, diffuse hair fall in young women, post-partum alopecia and alopecia caused by fungal infections, systemic diseases, trauma, drugs and disorders of the hair shaft. Causative factors and treatment are discussed.
