Abstract:
Presents heritability of plant height, number of fertile tillers per plant, panicle length and number of fertile grains per panicle of three Crosses Batak X Begami Batak x Bashful and Bashful and Marich-batix Gochi. Also the analysis based on components of variance from Ft and F3 populations, regression of Fa progenies on female parent and regression of F3 on F2 -values for other three characters except the plant height were fairly high which indicated that selection for these three characters should be initiated from F3 population. Establishes that estimates of heritability found from regression of F3 on F2 were, in general, higher than estimates of other methods.
