Abstract:
A large number of warfare chemicals have been developed to produce casualties by inhalation and by skin contact. These dangerous chemicals directly affect the persons but leave intact the cities and industries which are destroyed by the high explosives and nuclear weapons. The development of alkyl fluorophosphate and related compounds, known as nerve agents, in the recent years is a clear indication that both developed and developing countries are actively pursuing research and development of such toxic chemicals. These new toxic chemicals with ultra modern delivery system may play a vital role as strategic weapons in future wars.
