A new leaf spot disease of mungbean.

Abstract:
Mungbean (Vigna radiata L.) is one of the important pulse crop in Pakistan. The crop was found affected with leaf spot caused by Myrothecium roridum Tode Ex. Fr. in Chakwal and Rawalpindi areas during 1986. The symptom of disease observed in the field on the leaves were small, circular to large irregular, purplish brown black spots with definite margins measuring from 1 to 6 mm in diameter. Description of fungus and pathogenicity test are also discussed in this article.
