2-D numerical model of tidal current flow between coastal waters of kuala terengganu and redang Island.

Abstract:
This paper presented the implementation two dimensional (2-D) tidal models between the coastline of Kuala Terengganu and Redang Island. The splitting technique model was utilized to obtain the numerical solution of two dimensional hydrodynamic equations. This model has been examined with tidal current flow during the northeast monsoon period. The results show that the splitting technique method provides an excellent view for modeling shallow water tidal flow.
