Abstract:

Fourteen cases of ameloblastoma of the jaws have been reviewed. In all the cases the tumour were located in the mandible. The tumour were seen more frequently in left half of the mandible than in the right. In this series tumour occurred more frequently in females than males. Surgical curettage has been the treatment of choice. Radical resection has been avoided although it has been found useful in preventing local recurrences. In present study 78.5% of the patients believed to be free of the disease following surgical treatment.
