Abstract:
Twenty-three species of the genus Cassia Linn. are known to occur in West Pakistan including twelve introduced species. Two varieties have been recognized under Cassia wallichiana DC i.e. var. wallichiana and var. auricoma (Grah. ex Bergh.). Ali. A key for the identification of the various taxa is given along with the critical information about the distribution and typification of the taxa concerned.
