Adsorption HPLC separation of copper(II), nickel(11), palladium (II) and oxovanadium(IV) complexes of dl-and meso-Bis(Acetylacetone)- stilbenediimine and dl-and meso-Bis(Trifluoroacetylacetone)- stilbenediimine.

Abstract:
Adsorption HPLC separations of copper(11),nickel(11) and oxovanadium(IV) complexes of bis(acetylacetone)meso-stilbenediimine- (meso-H2AA2S); copper(II),nick-el(11)and palladium(I1)complexes of bis(trifluoroacetylacetone) meso-stilbenediimine (meso-H2F3AA2S) and copper(II), nickel(II), palladium(11) and oxovanadium(IV) complexes of bis(acetyl acetone) dl-stilbenediimine(dl-H2AA2S) and bis (tri-fluoroacetylacetone) dl-stilbenediimine (dl-H2F3AA2S)have been obtained on HPLC column (200x 4. 6 mm) packed with Si 100 5µm. The complexes were eluted isocratically with binary or ternary mixtures of chloroform, n-hexane and 1,2-dichloroethane. The detection was obtained using uv detector. The linear calibration range was obtained within sub,µg range and detection limit at sub ng level of metal complexes. Relative elutions of copper, nickel, palladium and oxovanadium(IV) complexes have also been examined on adsorption HPLC column to ascertain the effects of different substituents on the elution of metal complexes.
