Abstract:
Acute Hemiplegia of childhood, also known as acute infantile hemiplegia, Marie Strumpel Encephalitis, Polio encephalitis and Hemiconvulsions Hemiplegia (-I.H) Syndrome is postnatally acquired hemiplegia in an otherwise normal healthy child. The onset is usually abrupt with or without accompaniment of seizures and/or unconsciousness. The mode of onset, the subsequent clinical course, the prognosis and the method of management, each individual case. Hence it is customary to divide it into symptomatic and idiopathic groups. In this. case report a patient is described who developed right sides hemiplegia without any obvious cause.
