Abstract:
Stresses the advantages in searching for scientific information from medical folklore. It is rather difficult to get any worthwhile results of these & one must be very sure before giving any award. Laboratory experiments must be done in a careful way and must be compared. Collaborative work is advocated for better results. Gives instances of certain medicinal plants used in Turkish folklore medicine now under scientific investigation.
