Abstract:
To formulate the site specific fertilizer recommendation for wheat crop under farmer's conditions, the fertilizer trials with different NP and NPK combinations were carried out on Pacca and Sultanpur soil series, during the year 1976-77, 1977-78 and 1978-79 in Hyderabad, Badin, Sanghar, Nawabshah and Tharparkar. The results of experiments on site specific fertilizer recommendation indicated that higher NP combination of 134-67-0 and 202-101-0 kgs/ha in the ratio of 2:1 gave the best responses in Pacca and Sultanpur, so far as the yield and net return per hectare were concerned. It was further observed that the combination of potashic fertilizer with NP gave a higher yield, but was neither significant nor economical.
