Abstract:
Objective: To assess the Various Chest X-ray findings in confirmed cases of COVID -19 patients Study Design: Retrospective Descriptive Cross-sectional Study Place and Duration: Department of Radiology of Combined Military Hospital Malir, Pakistan from 1st March 2020 to 31st May 2020 Methodology: After recording of basic demographic variables, all the standard frontal projections of Chest X-Ray of PCR confirmed COVID-19 patients were studied on computer and radiological findings were noted. Results: Majority of the patients had normal chest X-Ray (75.4%). The most common finding is bilateral pulmonary infiltrates 8.4% followed by mixed opacities 6.1%. The other findings were unilateral peripheral opacities (3.8%) and ground glass opacities (1.0%). All of these findings were independent of gender or ethnicity. Conclusion: The frequency distribution of four main Chest X-Ray findings in confirmed COVID-19 cases can be used to make a provisional diagnosis where PCR result can't be awaited.
