Abstract:
Objective: To assess the knowledge and awareness about polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) among women of the Hail region. Methodology: This cross-sectional study was conducted from September 2024 to February 2025 and included 504 women from Hail, Saudi Arabia. We used convenience sampling. A validated, structured questionnaire was used and digitized on Google Forms. Survey responses were analysed using SPSS version 27. We performed chi-square tests to compare categorical variables and multiple logistic regression analysis to identify the study's significant predictors of PCOS knowledge. Results: Only 33.9% of the participants had good kno-wledge about PCOS, whereas 66.1% had poor know-ledge. Age, marital status, occupation, and the partici-pants’ knowledge level were significantly associated. Healthcare workers, patients with PCOS, and those who knew someone with PCOS had good knowledge. Conclusion: There is a need to increase knowledge and awareness about PCOS among women in Hail so that early diagnosis and intervention can lead to a better quality of life and reduce complications.
