Abstract:

A Spectrophotometric method has been developed for the determination of calcium (II) in steel-making alloys based on the complexation of calcium (H) with ChlorophotosphonazoAII at pH 2.2 of a wave length of 667.5 nm. 200 molar ratio of diverse ions to calcium ion can be tolerated. Results are presented for the analysis of alloys containing between 0.015 to 0.54 % w/w calcium.
