Abstract:
A method for the determination of gold is presented using a carbon paste electrode modified with the hexadecyl-ester of rhodamine B. Gold can be precon-centrated onto the surface of the electrode under open circuit conditions and analyzed by differential pulse voltammetry. The current response is linearly dependent on the concentration of Au within the range of 0.2 to 50mg/I with suitable preconcentration times.
