Abstract:
A field experiment was conducted to find out the effect of five different levels of N, P & K (i.e. Control, 120-0-0, 120-60-0, 120-60-120 kg/ha) on a rice cultivar (KS-282) in normal loamy clay soil. Fertilizer treatments caused a significant effect on number of ear bearing tillers/hill, number of grains/panicle, 1000-grain weight, paddy and straw yields, Nitrogen alone and with phosphorus increased the ear bearing tillers/-hill, number of grains/panicle and paddy yield. K application along with N, P did not increase paddy and straw yields compared to NP alone but K application only increased the 1000-grain weight.
