Abstract:
Attention should be paid to culture fishes which grow to a large size and can yield sufficient flesh. These fishes are 'Thaila' (Calla catla), 'Rohn' (Labeo rohita), `Morakha' (Cirrhina mrigala) and `KaMous' (Labeo calbasu), which are difficult to be distinguished in their earlier stages. The author has provided a key by Dr. A.J. Faruqi, H.K. Mukerji and Alikunhi, for their identification.
