Abstract:
Species diversity in the several communities of Kohat was determined and the relationship between species diversity and its components was studied. Species diversity and its components were correlated with the structural characteristics of the communities. The general behaviour of some important species such as Acacia modesta, Salvador oleoides, Adhatoda vasica and Rhazya stricata has also been Discussed general species diversity species richness and equitability of the communities are given, however definite and consistent pattern of relationship does not emerge between species diversity and its components.
