Aid of applied geophysics in the advancement of geological studies in Pakistan.

Abstract:
A brief description and discussion of the geophysical results are given which relate to (1)gravity survey of Hindubagh-Nasai chromite bearing region, Zhob District, Baluchistan (2)magnetic measurements on manganese bearing areas of Las Bela district, (3) Magnetic measurements on copper ore bearing area of Saindak Chagai District and (4) promising areas for bauxite prospecting in Sargodha. Tectonics of kirthar and Makran ranges and scattered inlier of rock near Shahkot and Sangla have also been described. Geophysical measurements have proved helpful in understanding several structural features.
