Abstract:
Calendula arvensis L. inhibited the germination and growth of Triticum aestivum L. var. Blue Silver And Pennisetum glaucum (L.) R. Br. var. DP 2 in laboratory experiments. Leachate from dried material was more effective than from the fresh one. P. glaucum was more susceptible than T. aestivum. Higher concentration and long soaking hours harmed the wheat more than millet. Capitula were found to be highly toxic.
