Abstract:
A harmonic oscillator model to calculate the matrix elements for the radiative transition among the different levels of the harmonic oscillator potential which cover almost all the two body photonic decays of mesons for which some experimental information is available. The expressions can be used readily to calculate the decay rates of the mesons, simply by using the relevant values of the parameters corresponding to the constituent quarks.
