Abstract:
The high resolution nuclear magnetic resonance spectra of trans-propylene-l-d1 and cis-propylone-l-d1 are measured in dilute (approx.107o) carbon tetrachloride solutions using a 100 MHZ spectrometer. Spectra of propylene at this frequency have also been recorded. First order analysis of the spectra has provided chemical shifts, proton-proton and proton-deuterium spin coupling constants. The effect of substitution of deuterium and CH3 group has been discussed.
