A methodological approach for the control classification scheme of automated guided vehicle systems.

Abstract:
This paper develops methodological classification scheme that provides a structured mechanism for organizing the relevant information about the design of AGVS from a control perspective. It provides the foundation for a design aid to determine the most appropriate AGVS design for specific application. The presented work will help the system designer in decision-making as the AGVS control design can be quite challenging and it can dramatically affect the system cost and performance.
