Abstract:
Ammonium sulphate was found to be more efficient than urea as a source of N in increasing the yield of tea. 80 lbs. N per acre from ammonium sulphate produced the highest yield. Average yield of the plots with 80 lbs. N per acre from ammonium sulphate was found to be 39% higher than the control plots, 19% higher than the plots with equivalent quantity of N per acre and 16% higher than the plots having 120 lbs. N per acre from urea.
