Abstract:
A total 33 genera with 64 species belonging to Chlorophyceae, Cyanophyceac and Bacillariophyceae were recorded from Zaibi Dam District Karak. Chlorophyceae (23 genera 49 sp) and Cyanophyceae (79 genera & 2 species) were leading groups. The genera Spirogyra (12), Rhizoclonizun, Mougeotia, Ulothrix, Zygnema each with 4 spp, Oscillatoria were well represented. Bacillariophyceae was represented by Navicula, Fragilaria, Gonnphoncma each with one species.
