Abstract:
The meandering results from skew shoal formation, which probably is generated by the intensity and amplitude (velocity and wave length) of some kind of disturbance, whose seat is located near the channel entrance. The location of the perturbation also appears to be an important factor. This complex question needs detailed laboratory investigation.
