Abstract:
9-fluor enyl-dicyano-methylene, when treated with excess of hydrazine-hydrate (85%) at 60-70°, using benzene as solvent, gave the fluorene-hydrazone m.p. 149°C, (86%). The formation of fluorene hydrazone (II) is supported by elemental analysis.
