Abstract:
The delivery point of power to subscribers is where the distribution system located. A high quality delivery of power requires an optimal design of distribution system. The costs of distribution system form an important part of the costs of the whole system. Therefore, distribution system should be so designed that it incurs minimum costs and expenses. Recently, the use of distributed generations in distribution systems has been increased due to the benefits of such products. Thus, it is required that these resources are considered in the design of distribution systems. This research aims to study this issue in a sample system. For this purpose, a sample distribution system is studied for the horizon year with and without distributed generations, and it shows that the use of distributed generations in the design can reduce considerably the costs of system.
