Abstract:
The acupuncture needles 4-6 inches in length are inserted in the skin. Various anatomical points are selected for different operations. These needles are vibrated manually or electrically at different frequencies. Pneumonectomy, caesarian section and laparotomies were shown under acupuncture analgesia. Keeping in view the importance of acupuncture technique, a compulsory internship scheme has been introduced for medical graduates in Pakistan under which 100 doctors will receive one year extended training.
